One of the world's greatest crossroads of culture and religion, Kathmandu is a city overflowing with contrasts, crowds and climbing shops.

A labyrinth of glittering alleyways crammed with spices and textiles, made Nepal's capital a fascinating place to loose myself and my bearings in.

Though for all the vibrancy that the streets had to offer, by far the most colourful and welcoming of all, were the people I met, photographed and asked for directions along the way.

In sharp contrast, the less travelled Buddhist Kingdom of Bhutan held other more modest, but equally captivating treasures.

In the weeks I was there, I encountered utopian landscapes and vibrant festivals. It was truly an intriguing insight into a very foreign and closet culture.
